Directions to Shangri La
For the Bus Driver:
From I-10 (either East or West): Take Exit 877/Hwy 87/16th Street exit and follow feeder road to 16th Street.
Turn right on 16th Street (Hwy 87) and travel south.
At W. Sunset Drive, take a right on W. Sunset Drive. Follow W. Sunset Drive for the entire road, including a sharp curve to the left after the country club entrance, until the road ends at a stop sign at W. Park Avenue.
Take a left at W. Park Ave. and travel east. You will soon approach the car drop-off entrance/main gate for Shangri La (at 2111 W. Park Ave.) on your right. Pass the main gate and follow the signs for the bus drop-off area.
The bus drop-off area will be after the main gate on the right hand side of W. Park Ave. Please pull along the curb by the marked gate for the unloading of bus passengers.
For all other vehicles:
RESTRICTED ACCESS/DISABLED PARKING INFORMATION:
There is a restricted access parking lot located just inside the main gate of Shangri La at 2111 W. Park Ave for vehicles with proper handicap designation.
From I-10 (East or West):
Exit 877/Hwy 87/16th Street. Follow the feeder road and turn right onto 16th Street.
Travel 2 miles to W. Park Avenue. Turn right and travel approximately ¼ mile. The Shangri La main gate/vehicular entrance will be on the left. Follow the curved drive to restricted parking.
GENERAL PARKING FOR ALL OTHER PASSENGER VEHICLES:
The main (non-restricted) Shangri La parking lot, located across W. Park Ave. from the main gate entrance to Shangri La, is currently under construction. While it should be completed by summer 2008, it is not currently available for use.
In the interim, free parking is available at the Lutcher Theater parking lot located at 707 Main Avenue in downtown Orange, Texas 77630, with free shuttle service provided every 15 minutes from the Theater parking lot to the entrance of Shangri La.
Visitors are encouraged to use the Lutcher Theater parking lot for all visits to Shangri La in the near future, as parking near the Shangri La facility may be restricted, including No Parking zones along W. Park Ave. that are enforced by the City of Orange. Thank you.
Directions to the Lutcher Theater Parking Lot for Shuttle Service to Shangri La:
From I-10 (East or West):
Exit 877/Hwy 87/16th Street. Follow the feeder road and turn right onto 16th Street. Travel several miles to Green Avenue. (You will cross W. Park Avenue). Turn left on Green Avenue and travel to 5th Street. Turn right on 5th Street and travel one block (past Main Ave) and turn right into the Lutcher Theater parking lot.
