Third Thursdays: Twilight Hike

During Earth Week, Shangri La Gardens will feature a Twilight Hike.  All ages are invited to join us for a short hike through the forest and swamps of Shangri La.  Participants will watch and listen for any active critters.  We will enjoy an activity to distinguish between animals that are diurnal (active during the day), nocturnal (active at night) and crepuscular (active at dawn and dusk).  Participants will play games to gain understanding about how these animals communicate and hunt.

Third Thursday programs are offered each month from February through April at Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center. These evening programs begin at 6:30 p.m., lasting one hour.  Some programs are designed for families with children and others are designed for adults.  Seating is limited, please reserve your space by calling 409.670.9799 to RSVP.
