Texas Watershed Steward Training

October 24, 2011

October 24, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Please RSVP by calling Shangri La at 409.670.9113.

This is a free one day (8 am-4 pm) training that provides a basis for understanding watersheds and water quality and encourages public involvement.  This is an excellent opportunity for participants to gain knowledge in issues related to watershed form and function, water quality and quantity, sources and types of point and nonpoint source pollution, regulatory and non-regulatory agencies involved, and management practices for controlling water pollution.  Because watershed issues affect all stakeholders, all general citizens and representatives of all sectors are encouraged to attend.  This program is relevant for Orange, Newton, and Jasper Counties, as well as all surrounding counties (Jefferson, Hardin, and Tyler, Polk, Chambers, and Liberty Counties).  This program is sponsored by Texas AgriLife Extension, TSSWCB, Sabine River Authority, and TCEQ.
