Star Party at Shangri La

The Astronomical Society of South East Texas (ASSET) and Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center will sponsor a Star Party at Shangri La on Thursday, November 3rd.  Amateur astronomers from throughout the region will share their expertise and love for astronomy.  More than 20 telescopes will be on hand to allow everyone attending to see, learn and enjoy the night sky. 
A Storyteller will be on hand to share celestial myths and legends concerning the various stars and other heavenly bodies.  No reservations are required; just gather up your friends and family and come out to enjoy a wonderful and fun evening. This free event begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 9:00 p.m.

In case of rain, the Star Party will be held on Friday, November 4, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
