Shangri La to Host ASSET Star Party on Thursday, March 10

Join us from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10 at Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center for an informative and magical evening under the stars lead by The Astronomy Society of Southeast Texas (ASSET). After a short presentation in the Discovery Theater, visitors will gather in the courtyard to view the night sky through telescopes provided by ASSET for stargazing. This event is free to the public, and children accompanied by an adult are welcome.
  ASSET members will be available to answer questions and point out exciting stars, constellations and much more. Some of the telescopes are large enough to allow the spotting of objects in the night sky that are not at all visible to the naked eye.
