Cliff Shackelford, a biologist with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, will give a presentation on the owls of Southeast Texas including how to identify them by sight and sound.  Also discussed will be interesting facts about why owls are so unique and so important to our environment.  Cliff is the author of the book “Hummingbirds of Texas” which will be sold and signed at the event.  If you give a hoot about owls, then please join us for this family-friendly event at 7:00pm on October 18, 2011, at Shangri La.
