First Lessons in Beekeeping

7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

This free workshop will allow participants to learn about beekeeping. Shangri La's beekeeper, Bennie Rhoads, will present a program for both those who want to develop beehives for honey and those more interested in developing a backyard beehive to increase pollination along with harvesting small amounts of honey. Mr. Rhoads will have all of the apparatus on display and give detailed instructions on how to get started as a beekeeper. This workshop is limited to 30. Reservations required. RSVP (409) 670-9799.
