Earth-Kind Roses

Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center and Orange County AgriLife Extension are sponsoring a workshop on Earth-Kind Roses on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Shangri La Gardens beginning at 6:30 pm and ending at 8:30 pm.  This free workshop features Dr. Steve George, Extension Horticulturist from Texas AgriLife Extension and Gaye Hammond, Director of Houston Rose Society.  Participants will learn about rose varieties that demonstrate superior pest tolerance combined with outstanding landscape performance.  This free workshop is limited to 70 participants.   Six Earth-Kind Roses will be given as door prizes.
