Basic Beekeeping Workshop

Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center is presenting a free workshop on the basics of beekeeping on March 9, 2010 at the Discovery Theater inside Shangri La.  This free workshop begins at 6:00 pm and ends at 9:00 pm.  Speakers include Benny Rhoads, resident beekeeper at Shangri La and Gretchen Hunt, owner of Southern Gold Honey Company.  Participants in the workshop will gain enough knowledge to determine whether they would like to become a beekeeper.  Participants will be able to examine equipment and visit the demonstration beehive at Shangri La.
