Star Party

Join us for a magical evening with the celestial wonders above us. The Astronomical Society of Southeast Texas will be at Shangri La to guide our eyes to gazing at the stars, planets, moon, and constellations above us. These events are free to the public, so we invite all to join us.   The Garden Store and Star and Moon Café will be open for your enjoyment. 
 
Each year, we try to hold two Star Parties, one in the spring and one in the fall.  Please continue to check back fro future dates.  If you have a telescope and would like to bring it, please let us know so that we can save you a spot (409.670.9113).  All of these events will take place in the courtyard of Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center.

You may have the opportunity to view Venus at dusk, Ursa Major, Cancer, and many more constellations.
