Orchid Festival

Join us to celebrate one of the most beautiful flowers in the world.

Twenty percent of all identified plant species are in the orchid family, which produces some of the most beautiful flowers in the world. The vast majority of orchid species are found in the tropics.  However, there are many growing in Shangri La's Epiphyte House and a few that grow wild in our natural areas.

Because Lutcher Stark was so appreciative of orchids, Shangri La is hosting an Orchid Festival on Saturday, October 10, 2009.  Orchids will be on display October 10 - 17.    

All events are free for Shangri La members and included in general admission fee for non-members.
