Wild Wednesday: Alien Invaders

Learn about the natural world around us with Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center’s Wild Wednesdays program, presented each week by Shangri La’s summer scholars.

On Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at 9 a.m., Shangri La will present Alien Invaders, a class aimed to educate guests about invasive plants in southeast Texas. Participants will learn to identify invasive plants and remove those found inside Shangri La.

Reservations are required. To reserve a spot in this class, call 409.670.0803. The activity is free to members and included in the general admission fee for non-members. Participants must be over four years of age. Comfortable shoes, water, and gardening gloves are encouraged. Guests should meet at the admissions office at 9 a.m.
