Beat the Heat Presentation: Hummingbirds of Texas

Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center presents the first installment of its 2008 Beat the Heat presentation series. The first talk is titled Hummingbirds of Texas and will be led by ornithologist Clifford Shackelford, author of the book Hummingbirds of Texas. Shackelford will introduce the audience to hummingbirds found throughout the state and ignite interest in watching hummingbirds as a pastime.

The talk will take place in the Stark Foundation Education Building, 812 Green Avenue, at the corner of N. 7^th Street and Green Avenue in Orange, Texas. Admission is free. Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis.
