Educational Programs
Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center provides a continuing environmental education for students throughout Orange County and the surrounding regions. Students have various opportunities throughout their educational experience to visit Shangri La as it sponsors programs located in both the Botanical Gardens and Nature Center. The program could involve traveling aboard the Nature Center boats to experience the wonders of the natural world, walking to the bird blind, planting in the children’s garden, or visiting any of the three Nature Center Outposts. Other facilities explored during an education experience may include a Water Demonstration Garden, laboratory, bat house, and the Nature Discovery Center. Shangri La educators are also available to visit the classroom for presentations. Teachers interested in reserving a Nature Center experience or scheduling a classroom presentation should contact:
