Noelle Jordan

Environmental Education Coordinator

As environmental education coordinator, Noelle has been providing quality outdoor experiences for children and adults since 2000 and has had many varied and colorful experiences during her environmental career. From Oregon to Canada and lots of places in between, she has taught with snakes wrapped around her neck and hawks perched on her arm, sailed on a tall ship, donned many a costume and faked just as many accents, trekked up mountains, slipped into tide pools, and played hide-and-seek in the fog – all for the sake of connecting people to nature.

Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Noelle received her Master of Science degree in environmental education from Southern Oregon University.

Noelle is charged with leading Shangri La’s education staff in developing a set of incomparable outdoor programs that will engage both school groups and the general public as to the natural gem in the heart of Orange, Texas, that is Shangri La.
